Novice Swim/Bike/Run Triathlon
A Novice is a person who has completed less than 3 triathlons.
Swim distance 400m (16 lengths) in a 25m pool. (Breaststroke or front crawl)
Bike 14.5Km (9miles) on a road worthy bike. Plus, a British Standard bike helmet must be worn at all times while on the bike.
Run 5k (3.1m miles) on footpaths and country lanes.
A fully safety briefing will take place before the event.
As this is a Novice event the participant has the opportunity to vary the swim & run distances subject to their own abilities. The only except will be the bike route which is all left turns and is a loop course. This is your chance to take part in a friendly event with other likeminded people.
Start is prompt at 8:00 AM so please ensure you arrive to set up in time.
Your race number will be issued on the day.
Please leave bags, etc with your bike in transition. This will be marshalled at all times. You will have access to the OSSC facilities after the event to shower & change. Plus, refreshment will be available on the day.
